Anemones: – The painting Anemones is inspired by the first cut flowers of spring, the anemones. Flowers on long stems that are beautiful to place in a vase during the first months of the year when the light slowly returns and the days get longer. For me, the anemones hold a promise of an impending spring and returning light. - In the motif, I have worked with the contrasting effect between light and dark as a supporting image element. The darker surfaces in the image contrast with and lift the lighter parts. I have also used the fluidity of watercolor, which is exciting in a large motif. Original work in watercolor The artist Malin Signahl draws inspiration from nature, its colors and seasons that come and go, which is reflected in her motifs dominated by flowers and butterflies. Malin Signahl's paintings are rhythm, harmony and the poetic expression in nature the most important to create the light feeling that characterizes her paintings.
