- Among the first spring flowers are the vibrant crocuses, bursting with colour, they break through the cold earth and bring a sense of hope and joy. Even the hedgehogs wake up from their winter sleep and head for the beautiful flowers in the hope of finding something to eat after the long winter, isn't it lovely to feel spring!
