Have grown up in Stockholm and followed the city's change, have favorite places that I return to and depending on the season, they get a certain energy. Maria Larkman likes to move around in different parts of her hometown and is constantly seeing new things or discovering new sides of well-known places. One of Stockholm's hubs is Stureplan, where Stockholmers have been meeting for decades. A perfect place to show off new clothes and shoes. A place to both see others and be seen yourself. Graphics in the lacollage technique The artist Maria Larkman created completely new city motifs for NOA Gallery. The inspiration is the city of Stockholm, the pulse and the constantly ongoing life that exists in the city. Maria Larkman works with a technique called Lacollage and it is a mixed technique between photo, collage, painting and varnish. The motif is a graphic sheet with an edition of 190 numbered and signed copies. The technique is series printing or screen printing, a classic graphic printing technique. Maria Larkman describes it as fine craftsmanship that is combined with modern expressions. The paper is carefully selected and purchased from England to reproduce the motifs and colors one hundred percent. - Magical to see the enhancing effects of screen printing and how a color field is deepened and gives the whole of the motif an additional depth.
