Coalescence: The title of the painting is a word that stands for coalescence - when two drops of water merge to form a larger drop. Here there are two faces that seem to go into and up into each other and create a mirror. Kim Lorentzson paints with acrylic on canvas and the motifs are portraits and bodies, often women, which are overlapped and woven together into a landscape of abstract forms. The figurative remains, however, but you have to strain your eye to find the shapes of the bodies.
