Karenina The motif Karenina is a work of art by Annica Johansson, an artist who likes to paint our iconic movie stars who worked in the Swedish dream factory, some who have inspired me a lot are Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo, Mai Zetterling and others. In the artwork Karenina, Annica has drawn inspiration from the film Anna Karenina starring Greta Garbo, a film in which the main character suffers from an irresistible passion for the officer Vronsky, who is not accepted by society. Anna is forced to choose between her son and her lover. Annica Johansson has been active in the Old Film City in Råsunda since 1996 with a studio in Ingmar Bergman's former room. She constantly searches for the feeling in her paintings. Figurative with a twist to the abstract, humor with a bit of seriousness, the barbed wire in the princess cake, darkness meets light.
