Måns" by the illustrator Jan Gissberg Måns is Pelle's antagonist, who constantly thinks up bad things to do to Pelle. Most of the time, however, Måns's plans have bad consequences for himself. Måns originally lives in a shed in a courtyard on Övre Slottsgatan but later moves to a basement space on Gropgränd in Uppsala. Despite his nastiness, Måns is one of many beloved figures from the stories of Pelle Svanslös.
