Artist Susanna Arwin is best known for her artistic projects 'The Swedish Aunt' and 'With the Handbag as a Weapon'. and 'With the handbag as a weapon', artworks that pay tribute to the strong woman. The sculpture I want to rescue the world so I put it in my handbag is one of Susanna's glass sculptures and it is again with the handbag in focus. The glass sculpture has a glass globe placed in the centre of the bag and details of gold leaf create a fantastic depth in the artwork.

The glass sculpture I want to rescue the world so I put it in my handbag is hand-blown at Orranäs Glasbruk, all artworks are therefore unique and signed by the artist. The height of the artwork is about 21 cm. The artwork can be supplemented with lighting to further emphasise the amazing depth of the blowing.
All are unique in series, solid, hot-sculpted directly in the foundry, the globe is an engraved solid inner object.
