Manta Ray" by Patrik Jonson: The artwork Manta Ray is a photo of Manta Ray or the Devil's Cloak as it is also known. It measures about 2.5 m between the wings and the picture was taken in the Maldives in 2018. The manta is completely harmless, although it has a scary name in Swedish. It lives by eating plankton which it takes in between its arms/horns at the front. - All mantas have different patterns on their bodies and are therefore unique, says Patrik. - When you have photographed a manta ray, you can send the image to an organization that documents all manta rays, and if it has not been encountered before, you can get the opportunity to name it. This time I saw the manta from about 20 meters away, heading straight towards me so I had plenty of time to set the flashes and the camera to the exact world. The goal was to take the picture exactly when the manta came up to the sun - and it succeeded. With his work, Patrik wants to show how fantastic and beautiful it still is in our seas and how important it is that we together preserve our natural heritage so it is not lost.
