Reija Karjalainen on "The Last Dance": "I like the motif "The Last Dance" a lot, maybe because I get a feeling of New York, when I painted it after one of my exhibitions there. It was quite a big party at the opening and a bit of fun to experience the glamor when the champagne flowed! An element of my art, which has been present ever since I started painting, is that I use a bronze powder that I mix. It's really important to me that the gold comes out".
